A space where all of you is welcome.

Being LGBTQ+ can bring its own joys, and its own particular pressures - coming out, identity, family and community relationships, discrimination, or simply wanting to be understood without having to explain yourself first. I warmly welcome LGBTQ+ clients and provide an affirming, inclusive and non-judgmental counselling space, informed by ongoing training in LGBTQ+ affirmative practice and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD).   You can book an initial online assessment for free - a chance to see if this feels like the right space for you.

Affirming, experienced, and judgement-free

You shouldn't have to educate your counsellor before you can be understood. I bring experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients, alongside specific training in LGBTQ+ affirmative practice and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD), and ongoing CPD in LGBTQ+ mental health. I value and affirm diverse identities, relationships and experiences. I welcome trans, non-binary and gender-diverse clients and offer a space where your identity will be respected and affirmed - I will always use your chosen name and pronouns. Drawing from integrative approaches including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, Solution-Focused and Inner Child work, my aim is to create a space where you can speak openly, without fear of judgement, pressure or assumptions, and where all parts of your identity are welcome. I am a registered member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), hold enhanced DBS clearance, and am registered with the ICO, which means my practice meets recognised professional and ethical standards - and that your care is held to the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professional responsibility.

Identity and coming out

Whether you're questioning, exploring, coming out, or navigating gender identity and transition, you'll find a space to think out loud without judgement, at your own pace - including support with internalised shame and the impact of discrimination or prejudice.

Relationships and family

From partners, dating and intimacy to family rejection or difficult family relationships, we'll work through the relational patterns and pressures that can come with being LGBTQ+, including issues that come up at work.

Minority stress and mental health

Anxiety, depression and low self-esteem can be compounded by minority stress, microaggressions, or the everyday effort of navigating unsupportive spaces. Together we'll build clarity, resilience, and practical tools to help you thrive.

Experienced. Affirming. On your side.

Every stage of life brings change, and for LGBTQ+ people those changes often come with extra layers - coming out more than once, building chosen family, navigating healthcare or workplaces, or simply working out who you are outside of other people's expectations. With years of life and professional experience, alongside specific LGBTQ+ affirmative practice and GSRD training, I bring empathy, understanding, and genuine affirmation to these transitions. Whatever your stage of life or point in your journey, counselling can offer a safe, calm space to pause, reflect, and find a way forward - as yourself, fully.
